Meet Dr. Ben

U.S. Marine Corps Veteran · Chronic Pain & Adhesion Specialist

Dr. Ben Lickteig earned his undergrad degree at Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD before serving six years as an active-duty officer in the United States Marine Corps.

During his time in the Marine Corps, Dr. Ben experienced multiple disc injuries in his neck and back that gave him a firsthand understanding of persistent pain. At the same time, he saw the toll chronic pain took on his Marines under his charge. Those experiences sparked his desire to better understand and address challenges associated with chronic pain.

While completing his Doctorate of Chiropractic at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, he became increasingly interested in a question that would shape his career: Why do so many people continue to struggle with long-term pain even after seeing multiple providers?

That question led Dr. Ben to pursue specialized training in a clinical approach geared toward chronic pain diagnosis and treatment. His practice emphasizes treating these commonly missed underlying issues that contribute to unresolved pain.

Today, Dr. Ben focuses exclusively on complicated chronic pain cases, particularly patients who have been struggling for months or years and have already tried multiple treatments without finding the answers they were looking for.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Ben enjoys spending time with his wife, Kelly, and their six children, being active in their Catholic parish, and cheering on the Red Sox.
